A time portal is opened to bring the nowness in. A girl is sitting by the river, she picks up a pen and writes half a picture, neither the picture nor the scene can be distinguished. Where did the girl get this picture?
In this performance, I merge the Shanshui painting ( a style of traditional Chinese painting that involves or depicts scenery or natural landscapes ) with contemporary technology, embodying a multi-sensory experience. Through the interplay of Shanshui strokes, dynamic lighting, Taichi-inspired embodied performance, voice and an unpredictable AI model, I create an immersive audio-visual space that challenges the perception of reality. This fusion invites participants into a deep dream of human-technology symbiosis, where the collective memory unfolds in the present moment organically, prompting contemplation on the intersection of Chinese philosophy - “unity of qi (tool) - dao (tao)” in the contemporary discourse of techne-body relations.
